Free Patterns
Several public domain fashion magazines on BnF Gallica regularly include patterns (sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery) in their issues. Generally they require you to draw up the full-size pattern on graph paper from a diagram. If you don't read French, you might have trouble with the instructions. (I read a little French, and have made do with a combo of translation software, plus wiktionary for sewing-specific terms.) Below a very non-comprehensive list.
