Who Am I?

I ask myself this all the time...

Seriously though: I'm a woman, I'm queer, and I'm old enough that I made my first website for a middle school computer science class in 2008. I go by babezoid on Den of Angels, but have gone by various other screen names on various other websites in the past. (If you think we used to know each other, feel free to reach out!) I speak English and Dutch and a little bit of German and French.

I have... arguably too many hobbies and interests. In addition to the ones showcased on this website, I'm interested in art history and love to read art criticism. In fiction, I lean towards science fiction and fantasy and folklore. I love illustration and comics and animation. From time to time I'll do some retrogaming or play indie games. I really want to get back into oil painting. Once upon a time I thought I was going to get a graduate degree in mortuary archaeology.

I have a love/hate relationship with the internet (as a concept), but a love/love relationship with my cat.

What's This Website For?

A) Showcasing my bjd's in more detail and to a wider audience than on Den of Angels, which is after all a forum with restricted membership.

B) Showcasing my pixel art, since the forums I used to frequent are dead, and deviantArt has gone pro-AI, and I refuse to use instagram.

C) Giving a home to various odd projects that are otherwise just sitting on my hard drive, yet may be of interest to others. (If you find them interesting, please tell me about it! This would motivate me to add more stuff to the website ^-^)

D) Boredom relief.
